Jamshedpur, Aug 26: Popular city lawyer and social activist Girja Shankar Jaiswal�s passing away was mourned by former Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das. Expressing his sorrow, Das said, �The society has lost a genuine friend. He was instrumental through the Legal Aid Committee to curb the killing of women in the name of witchcraft and weaning people out of the clutches of blind social taboos. He was always involved with social and religious activities. He will be sorely missed by society. I pray to the Almighty for the peace of his soul and for providing his bereaved family with fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.�
