BJP national president and CM inaugurate Garib Kalyan Mela in Ranchi
Ranchi, Sept. 16: BJP national president and MP Amit Shah distributed assets worth Rs 340 crore among 46,325 beneficiaries on the occasion of inauguration of Garib Kalyan Mela in Ranchi on Saturday.
Addressing people on the occasion, Shah said that Union and State governments are working sincerely on the principles and philosophy of Antyodaya propounded by late Pt. Din Dayal Upadhyay.
�In just 1000 days, the government has shown its calibre and commitment towards development. Instead of glorifying the leader, the government believes in working for the people. The motto of the government shows its direction and priorities. The state government is working in the capable and visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The state has obtained 8.6 % growth rate, the second highest after Gujrat. The sacred land of Bhagwan Birsa has been acknowledged by ex-PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee and is being nurtured by the Prime Minister. He has given Rs. 1.17 lakh crore revenue to the state for development,� he said.
Shah further said that Rs. 1000 crore had been earmarked for tribal welfare. �The state government in tune with the Centre is following the poor uplift philosophy of Pt. Din Dayal Upadhyay. By now, gas cylinders have been distributed among 2.8 lakh women. Loan up to Rs 10 lakh has been given to 7.64 crore youths. As many as 106 welfare schemes are being run by the Central government for people�s welfare. In just three years of its governance, the state government has supplied electricity to 14 thousand villages out of 19 thousand. The government is moving to the poor for their development and welfare which is a good sign,� he said.
Chief Minister Raghubar Das said the government as per the vision of the Prime Minister, is committed for the development of the poor, tribal, farmer, marginalized, downtrodden and deprived section of the society. �The focus lays on the development of the deprived and how to bring them in the mainstream. One crore and one lakh bank accounts have been opened under Jan Dhan and 2 lakh 80 thousand people were covered under Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Beema Yojana. 4 lakh 72 thousand people have been given the benefit under MUDRA scheme and 4 lakh 94 thousand people under Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Scheme,� he said.
The CM further said, �A total of 574 youths got the benefits under Stand Up India and Rs. 110. 45 crore was approved under this scheme. Banks were directed to give loan from Rs. 10 lakh to 1 crore. Moreover, 400 buses were given to the people under Stand Up scheme. It became the first state of the nation to give gas oven along with gas connection. 8 lakh beneficiaries have been covered under it and by 2018, 18 lakh people will be covered. 16 lakh 97 persons have been benefited under Pradhan Mantri Fasal Beema Yojana,� the CM said.
The CM said that 26,000 women had been provided 2 cows on 90% subsidy and maximum women are being strengthened. The government is also focusing on education sector. Rs. 100 cr. Johar Scheme has been launched exclusively for the women. 65,00 beneficiaries have been given the benefits of gas stove under Pradhan Mantri Ujjawala Yojana. E-pos machine has been given to 1000 beneficiaries for banking correspondence and 8,000 smart phones have been distributed to promote cashless transaction. Bank loans have been given to 6,000 sakhi mandals.
Union Minister jayant Sinha, Sudarshan Bhagat, all ministers of the state govt., MPs, MLAs, ex-CM Arjun Munda, MP Laxaman Gilua, CS and other senior officers of the state were present on this occasion.
