Ranchi: Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das has condemned the petrol bomb attack on the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) state office in Ranchi and demanded an SIT probe into the incident.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, Das alleged that the incident was a consequence of the growing boldness of anti-national elements due to appeasement and vote-bank politics. He said the attack could have resulted in significant loss of life and property. According to him, a major tragedy was averted because the bomb failed to explode.

Das called upon the state government to take swift and decisive action against those responsible. The former chief minister urged the immediate formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the incident and uncover any larger conspiracy behind the attack. He stated that he had spoken to Jharkhand Director General of Police Tadasha Mishra and requested prompt action to identify and arrest the perpetrators.
Raising concerns over illegal infiltration, Das alleged that the number of Bangladeshi infiltrators in Jharkhand was increasing and claimed that the issue posed a challenge to both national and state security. He criticized the ruling alliance, alleging that political considerations had prevented effective action on the matter.
The senior BJP leader said that a comprehensive investigation and strict legal action against those involved would help deter similar incidents in the future and ensure the safety of social and political organizations operating in the state.
