RAF on cleanliness drive at adopted village

Jamshedpur: In keeping with the central government�s cleanliness drive, the C/106 battalion of Rapid Action Force (RAF) undertook the mission along with tree plantation in its adopted village Latugoda Panchayat south of Haludbani.

The RAF drive saw personnel taking up cleaning work of roads, homes and the Panchayat�s Primary School premises as also clearing bushes and cleaning drains, wells and hand-pimps. The RAF personnel also planted 100 saplings in the village.

The drive was conducted under the supervision of C/106 RAF Deputy Commandant Rakesh Kumar and Assistant Commandant Rajeev Kumar. Fifty RAF personnel participated in the cleanliness and tree plantation drive at Latugoda Panchayat.

The villagers along with Gram Pradhan Bablu Bhumij, Mukhiya Manoj Kumar Mahto, social worker Raj Kumar Sah, Ward Member-09 Ram Purty, school managing committee chairman Bablu Bhumij and school principal Dhano Sidhu participated enthusiastically in the drive.

The RAF team gave away sweets to the children of the village who had assembled at the Primary School. The children were given tips on the positives of cleanliness.
