Ranchi: Former MLA Radhakrishna Kishore, former minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Chandravanshi and Jharkhand Vikas Morcha leader Amit Mahato joined Bharatiya Janata Party on Tuesday.
Former IPS officer Nandu Prasad and several others too, joined the party in the presence of state BJP president Dr Ravindra Kumar Rai, former CM Arjun Munda and former Assembly Speaker CP Singh.
The new members were inducted in the party at a function organized at Harmu Bypass Road, leading to road jam for several hours. The new entrants to the party had arrived at the function venue with a large number of supporters and orchestra bands.
Addressing the new members, BJP president said the party would gain strength due to the arrival of new members. He said the party would benefit in the Assembly elections.
Munda said the party welcomed sincere leaders and activists who could aid the development of the state. He said the Central government led by Narendra Modi would give special package to Jharkhand for its speedy development. He said the BJP should get full majority for the development of the state.
Radhakrishna Kishore said he found the BJP as the only party that had the will to serve the people. He said other parties had lost their sanctity. He said he would work as a dedicated worker of BJP.
