Ghatshila, August 28: BDSLCT Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir School in Ghatshila organized a Radha-Krishna costume competition to celebrate Janmashtami. Students comprising 54 boys and girls dressed as Lord Krishna and Radha. The event also featured dance and song performances by the students.
Adik Sen, dressed as Lord Krishna, secured the first place followed by Chayan Dhawaldev in the second position and Shahbaz Baksh and Mani Shankar Sarkar jointly bagging the third slot. Among the girls, Anisha Gorai won the first place dressed as Radha, while Chitra Singh and Manasi Mahato claimed the second and third places respectively. The participants were praised for their attractive and charming costumes and were awarded certificates and mementos.
School secretary Praveen Kumar Agarwal, along with committee members Dr. Sunita Devi Soren, Raja Karmakar, Chanda Mukherjee, and Dhananjay Kumar Singh, were present at the event.
