Jamshedpur, Jan 4: Although celebrations had started a year back, members of the Bistupur-based The Milanee, the oldest club of the city have reserved the best for the last.
Celebrations started on Saturday, January 4 with Rabindra Sangeet were students participated in three different groups. Group A for 12-16 years Rajat Choudhary was the winner, Sourav Banerjee second and Sawoni Hazra third.
In Group B Ariti Saha was first, Sreeja Tar was second while Souroshmita Das was third. In Group C Ankiya Dey Laik was first, Sohini Guchhait was second while Koel Bose was third.
There will be a series of events to mark the celebrations with Nazrul Geeti competitions, recitation,bhajans, Bengali modern songs and tabla performances till January 8. On Sunday, January 5 recitation competition will be held alongside Pous Mela were stalls of delicious Bengali winter sweet dish and �Baul� (Bengali Folk) songs from Birbhum district of West Bengal.
The competition is duly judged by Supriti Karmakar & Dipankar Mukherjee.
