Quiz contest marks National Mathematics Day at Narbheram Hansraj English School

 

Jamshedpur: In honor of the esteemed mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan’s birth anniversary, the Mathematics Department of Narbheram Hansraj English School (NHES) observed National Mathematics Day on December 21, with a spirited celebration. The highlight of the day was a lively quiz competition that engaged students from Class 9 and 11, paying homage to the mathematical genius.

The event featured four competing teams: Ramanujan, Pythagoras, Euclid, and Sridhar Acharya, each named after prominent figures in the world of mathematics. The quiz competition, meticulously organized by Acting Vice Principal Avijeet Mukherjee, provided an engaging platform for students to showcase their mathematical prowess.

The competition unfolded through a series of gripping rounds, including a rapid-fire round, quick buzzer round, and visual round. The diverse formats of the quiz aimed to test the students’ depth of knowledge and their ability to apply mathematical principles under different circumstances.

The quiz competition was expertly conducted by a team of dedicated faculty members. Tr Tapas Ghosh, Tr Shiv Mittal, Tr Ranjan Singh, and Tr Anikesh played instrumental roles in ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of the event, fostering an atmosphere of healthy competition and academic enthusiasm.
