Jamshedpur, April 18: In order to check the coronavirus infection, the East Singhbhum district administration has revised the quarantine schedule. According to the revised rule, those who have completed 14 days period at state quarantine centres will have to compulsorily remain in home quarantine for an additional period of two weeks. If any person under quarantine moves out before completing 28 days, he or she will be prosecuted under pandemic act.
The Deputy Commissioner made it clear that any person entering the district even after having completed 14 days quarantine will have to undergo the 28 day home quarantine period and his protection would be monitored through the Covid App. In addition a surveillance team would visit such a person�s home every day. Persons coming into the district in the past week or those who come in at any point of time now will be placed in government quarantine centres. Information of people in home quarantine will have to be provided to the Additional District Judge, Law and Order and the District Surveillance Officer.
People with coronavirus positive symptoms who arrive from outside the district and have not completed 28 days will be marked as high risk cases and as per ICMR guidelines their samples will be checked by the District Civil Surgeon and the District Surveillance Officer. Blood samples of persons with no coronavirus symptoms who arrive in the district but are from hot spot areas will be taken for testing.
In addition, a list of persons who have entered the district in the month of April will have to be provided to the respective police stations and the OC will arrange to keep a watch on such persons on a daily basis. 262 quarantine centres have been marked in the district out of which the district administration is utilizing 28 centres where 800 persons have been placed under quarantine.
