Jamshedpur, August 16: Tata Motors Jamshedpur Plant celebrated 69th Independence Day Sumant Moolgaokar Stadium on Saturday, August 15. Sumant Kumar Sinha, CS, CSR hoisted the national flag.
On the occasion AB Lall, plant head of Jamshedpur unit in his message congratulated the citizens of Jamshedpur and employees of the company.
AB Lall was not present during the celebrations as he is out of town for official purpose. He mentioned about the former late President of India Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam saying that he made the country self reliant in the field of technology.
Lall also highlighted the performance of the company during the last one year and said that on 3rd March the plant received WCQ Level 1 certificate from Tata Group Chairman Cyrus Mistry.
He further said that Tata Motors Prima truck has been launched in more than 20 countries and the demand is increasing every month in the International Market which shows the customers are satisfied with its performance.
The company bagged 1239 mobility truck orders from Indian Army which is the biggest defence order and trucks will be manufactured in Jamshedpur plant.
Talking about the market condition, Lall said that after passing through difficult period in the last 2 years we are looking towards improved market situation. Lall further informed that to make presence felt in this competitive market than we would have to make quality products.
This year we have launched more than three new products in the market. Later during the celebrations, 26�January,2015 winners were awarded.
In March Past��Hill Top School bagged the first position, followed by Little Flower School and Vivek Vidyalaya. In Performing Group-� Vidya Bharati Chinmaya Vidyalaya and Gulmohur School were the joint winners, Hill Top School was second while Vidya Sagar Vidyalaya was third.
Employee of the month award was given to Amit Das. In SDT Team � Ist Prize was won by Cab & Cowl while 2nd�Prize went to C E M Division. Main attraction of the event was march past by the mentally challenged Children of Asha Kiran School.
