Jamshedpur, July 26: Purva Sainik Seva Parishad on Wednesday organised a programme in honour of the Kargil war martyrs and their family members. Chief Guest for the occasion was 324 field regiment commanding officer Colonel Neeraj Kumar Singh. Addressing the gathering, Singh said, Kargil war showed that Indian Army is capable to fight any battle under any circumstances.
Purva Sainiks paid respect to all the 559 army jawans who lost their life fighting for the country, during the function held at martyrs’ memorial in Golmuri Police Line. At the event residents in large numbers attended the function and remembered the sacrifice of our brave soldiers who till the very end continued their fight for the mother land. Earlier, giving the introductory speech, Varun Kumar remembered the bravery of Indian soldiers during the Kargil war and invoked that the fight for the rights of the soldiers will continue.
Present on the occasion were Kargil war heroes including Manik Warda, Satyendra Singh, Birju Kumar, Vijay Kumar, Krishna Mohan Singh, Bijendra Dwivedi, martyred Manoranjan Kumar’s father Navin Kumar.
