Punishment to chase offenders

Jamshedpur : Mr. Pir Mohammad, an Ex- Tata Steel employee (Personal Number – 050177) of Merchant Mill department was arrested by the Police to undergo imprisonment for one year as per the decision of Special Judge (Economic Offences), Jamshedpur by judgment dated March 31, 2009. Mr. Pir Mohammad preferred an appeal before the District & Sessions Judge, Jamshedpur and the same was dismissed on Sep 27, 2012.

Thereafter he preferred Cr. Revision in Jharkhand High Court, which is still pending, and also continued to illegally withhold the Quarter No – LH/36, Sanga Road, Sakchi. Hence, the trial Court issued Warrant of Arrest on Jan 5, 2013. Mr. Pir is in jail since 20 days and on Sep 16, 2013 his family has surrendered the quarter to our Estate Department.

This example is a testimony to the fact that people who are wrongfully withholding Company’s accommodation will be meted out with justice in accordance with the law of the land. A message is definitely out in the public domain that stipulated rules and regulations are meant for peoples betterment and that one should be responsible enough to abide by that.
