Puducherry CM honours Jamshedpur Yoga Guru Anshu Sarkar

Jamshedpur, Jan 10: Anshu Sarkar, the President of World Fitness Federation of Yogasana Sports India and a renowned yoga expert, was felicitated by the Chief Minister of Puducherry, N. Rangaswamy during the International Yoga Competition. The Chief Minister presented Anshu with a memento and a certificate, expressing best wishes for his bright future and recommending further promotion of yoga across the country.

It may be mentioned that the 29th International Yogasana Festival 2024 was organized by the Tourism Department of the Puducherry government from January 4 to 7. Anshu Sarkar was invited as a yoga expert to participate in the event, which saw competitors from various countries worldwide. In the International Yoga Competition, Anshu Sarkar played the role of a commentator.

During the closing ceremony, Chief Minister N. Rangaswamy attended and honored Anshu, acknowledging his contributions to yoga. The event was graced by the presence of Puducherry Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan, along with dignitaries from the Tourism Department, including K. Muralidharan, Shiva Govind, and Dasharath.

Anshu Sarkar is the recipient of numerous national and international awards and honors. The recent recognition from Puducherry adds to his list of achievements. Federation officials, as well as other yoga enthusiasts and prominent individuals from the city, congratulated him on this latest accomplishment.
