Ranchi, Sept. 22: Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that the government will give pucca house and Rs 2 lakh accidental insurance cover to all the 33 thousand fishermen of the state by 2018-19. The government will pay the premium of the insurance, he said.
The CM further said that Rs 1.25 lakh will be spent on building houses for fishermen and Rs 12,000 extra will be spent on toilet construction.
Not only this, 90 per cent subsidy will be given for private hatcheries. Farmers will be given feed on 50 per cent subsidy for fish production with a view to promote fish export, he said.
Das made the announcement while addressing state level fishery festival�cum-seminar organized here on Thursday. He inaugurated the programme as the chief guest.
The CM said that 90 per cent subsidy will be given on spawns or eggs for every category. Working sheds will be constructed for committees. Rs 2 lakh per unit will be expensed at 2000 spots in rivers for ravine fish farming. He said that the government was working hard to eradicate poverty from the state.
The purchasing capacity of rural people will be developed and enhanced through composite development. Tribal self help groups will be formed and connected with poultry. The eggs produced in the hatcheries will be purchased by schools for mid-day meal.
Investments are attracted to boost up employment in the state. In the textile park, 15,000 people will get employment. Training will be given in six districts of the state, he said.
The CM went on to comment that migration must be stopped at all costs. �If a person can�t help but plan migration, he should apply with the DC of his respective district. Such youths will be trained and connected with employment. Information or complaints against middlemen can be given on toll free number 181. Stern action will be taken against middlemen,� said the CM.
Das also asked the people of the state to give suggestions for the next budget.
Agriculture Minister Randhir Kumar Singh discussed achievements of the department. Chief Secretary Raj Bala Verma, Development Commissioner Amit Khare, Agriculture Secretary Nitin Madan Kulkarni, Special Secretary Puja Singhal and other officers were present on this occasion.
