Be proud of Group�s capacity of thinking beyond business: Ratan Tata to employees

Mumbai, March 3: Tata Trusts chairman and Chairman Emeritus of Tata group, Ratan Tata has written a letter to the Tata employees to acknowledge their contributions in the company�s progress right from its inception till date. The letter was written on the occasion of 3rd March on the 178th birth anniversary of the Tata group founder JN Tata.

�For me personally, it�s a celebration of what each one of you brings to our organization. It is because of you that we can derive and obtain the opportunity and the privilege to serve our community and through that our nation,� Tata said, adding that the year also marks 125 years of Tata Trusts. The oldest of the trusts, the JN Tata Endowment dates back to 1892 and the youngest, The Tata Education & Development Trust, was set up in 2008.

�As one of the largest community stakeholders for the Trusts, the Tata employees have played an important role in making the legacy come alive.

Hope you are proud of our group�s capacity of thinking beyond business. It is this strength and intention that is reflected through the Trusts in their vision and their work.

You are the custodians and inheritors of the Trusts and of our belief in making a sustainable change in our society,� Tata said.
