Protest at MGM Hospital Jamshedpur after woman’s death

Jamshedpur, June 12: After the death of a patient, Sadaf Parveen, a resident of Dangodih, Kapali in MGM Hospital, the relatives of the deceased created a lot of ruckus on Monday.

On getting information about the uproar, the magistrate reached the spot and pacified the family members by persuading them. After this, the body of the deceased was sent to the relatives’ house in an ambulance.

Shahabuddin says that he had admitted Sadaf Parveen to MGM Hospital on Saturday. On Monday the doctors referred him to RIMS. An ambulance was called, the patient was made to lie down on the ambulance and a technician was called to administer oxygen. The family alleges that the technician mistakenly used steam instead of oxygen, due to which the patient died.

At the same time, the technician says that he had applied oxygen only. The relatives are demanding an inquiry against Shahabuddin. The magistrate has assured that the matter will be investigated and action will be taken against the technician if found guilty.
