Jamshedpur, July 13: Acting on a tip-off about alleged prostitution at the Katyayani guest house owned by former minister Dulal Bhuiya near Nirmalnagar, Sitaramdera police station authorities conducted a late-night raid led by SDO Parul Singh on Friday. During the raid, authorities discovered three local boys and four girls in compromising positions across three rooms.
SDO Parul Singh stated that the guest house was operating under the guise of a hotel while facilitating immoral activities. Local youths were reportedly booking rooms for stays involved in objectionable conduct. Upon receiving the information, DSP Bhola Prasad led a police team in the late-night operation.
During the raid, authorities seized liquor from all rooms, while ganja (cannabis) was recovered from two rooms and a hookah from another. The guest house has since been sealed off. Sources indicate that the property belongs to former minister Dulal Bhuinya and his family, who were renting it out. However, Dulal Bhuinya has declined to provide any information regarding the incident.
Family members of the detained boys and girls have been summoned to the Sitaramdera police station for further inquiries. Investigations into the matter are ongoing
