Jamshedpur: Bharatiya Janata Party Jamshedpur Mahanagar committee members today proposed the name of party leader Hari Mukhi as a candidate from Jugsalai Assembly constituency in the forthcoming elections.
They held a meeting on Monday at Burmamines camp office in this regard. It was unanimously decided to inform senior party leaders about the resolution passed in the meeting.
Mukhi said his candidature was subject to ratification by senior leaders who should be informed about the minutes of the meeting and the will of the party members.
He said he had contested Assembly elections from Jugsalai twice and that he was active in local politics for the last two decades.
