Ranchi, Dec. 2: Chief Minister Raghubar Das directed the Tourism, Art, Culture, Sports and Youth Affairs Department to form hockey and football teams at the village level, give grants and promote sportsmanship among the youths so that they are able display their talents on national and international levels.
He directed the officials to start Ulihatu- Dombari Buru and Sutiambe Project, Pithoria, by December 25 at any cost. He was speaking at the review meeting of the Tourism, Art, Culture, Sports and Youth Affairs Department at Project Building on Wednesday.
The CM directed to start the work at Anjandham in Gumla immediately after getting forest clearance. He directed to start the work at Rajrappa from December 30. He laid stress on forming committees of local people and handing over the abandoned buildings to them.
Moreover, construction work of a project should be started from the day of laying foundation stone, he said, adding that the construction of the Hotel Management Institute should be completed in this financial year so that admission process can start from the next session.
The CM said that tourist buses will run on the Tarapeeth- Deoghar circuit, while Itkhori is on the process of being connected to the Buddha Circuit.
Electricity, drinking water and road connectivity are ensured to boost up tourism. The Department is also thinking seriously on Anupam Kher�s proposal of opening a wing of National School of Drama in Ranchi along with opening cultural university and Fine Arts College in the state. The Regional Language and Cultural Growth Center at Chaibasa will be handed over to a committee. Mobile operator and IT Department are conducting meeting to equip the tourist places with Wi-Fi, he informed.
Minister of Tourism, Art, Culture, Sports and Youth Affairs Department, Amar Kr. Bauri, development commissioner R.S. Poddar, principal secretary to the CM Sanjay Kumar, principal secretary, Finance, Amit Khare, secretary, Tourism, Art, Culture, Sports and Youth Affairs Department Avinash Kumar and other officers were present at the meeting.
