Jamshedpur: It was a day of nomination. Prominent candidates who filed nomination today included Jharkhand People�s Party president and former Ghatshila MLA Surya Singh Besra (58) who filed nomination for Potka.
JVM city unit general secretary Abhay Singh (44) was the next to turn up at the district collectorate to file his nomination for Jamshedpur East constituency.
Large number of party supporters had assembled at Kasidih Durga Puja Maidan and marched in the form of a procession till near The Bengal Club in Sakchi.
JMM candidate Kamaljit Kaur Gill (49), a resident of Baridih followed soon for filing nomination from Jamshedpur East constituency. Ajsu Mangal Kalindi (41), a resident of Birsanagar, came next with large number of supporters including East Singhbhum party district president Ramesh Hansdah, party central committee general secretary Mohan Karmakar and others and filed nomination for Jugsalai (SC) constituency.
Sitting Jugsalai MLA and Ajsu leader Ramchandra Sahis (39) turned up along with coalition partner. Upender Singh (51), a resident of Bagbera who joined JMM earlier this month turned up next along with JMM youth wing leader Mahabir Murmu and veteran party leader Sheikh Badruddin and Pramod Lal and filed nomination for Jamshedpur West constituency.
Independent candidate Shahadat Khan (29) a resident of Mango submitted his nomination papers for Jamshedpur West constituency.
