Productivity Week 2022 ends on insightful note
Jamshedpur, Feb 19: The virtual valedictory function of Productivity Week 2022 was organised on Friday. The theme for this year’s week was ‘Self Reliance through Productivity’
Probal Ghosh, Vice President, Shared Services, Tata Steel and Satish Kumar Singh, General Secretary, Tata Workers’ Union graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour respectively.
Brija Nand Bhagat, Head of Corporate Functions, Productivity Services Department, Tata Steel welcomed the audience by sharing how productivity is a vital prerequisite for any organisation or nation to achieve self-reliance and the effective use of man, machine, and material by adopting evolutionary techniques.
Probal Ghosh, in his speech, emphasized what self-reliance means for an organisation and the effective use of available resources and flexibility to adapt to the changing trends in the market.
Satish Kumar Singh, explained how Tata Workers’ Union has helped the organisation during the COVID-19 crisis, and managed to help in the profitability of organisation.
A conference was organised in which external speakers were invited from various Corporates & Institutes such as ITC Ltd, Kolkata, IIM Bengaluru, INTUC etc. who shared their thoughts on smart manufacturing, encompassing Internet of things & Advanced analytical models, and other challenges that are being faced in enhancing the productivity, and some of the technological shifts and their impact on productivity.
As part of Productivity Week celebrations, several events were organised such as Online Productivity Quiz, Productivity Conference, Short Video Competition etc. The winners of were recognised during this event today.
The conference concluded with Vote of Thanks from Sushovan Ghosh, Head Productivity Services Dept.
