Jamshedpur, May 7: Motilal Nehru Public School (MNPS) in Sakchi organized annual prize distribution function at the auditorium on Wednesday evening. Several awards were given away to students for their exemplary performance throughout the year.
Priya Singh of class 10 bagged the most awaited award of the evening winning the ‘Principal Award’. School teacher Alka Bagchi won the ‘Educator Award’ which was introduced from this year.
Sumit Kumar won best outstanding student of junior school, Junaina was awarded for searchlight for class 6, Shruti bagged the searchlight award for class 7, Gaurav Sharan clinched best student of middle school (class 8), best student of class 10 boys was awarded to Krishna Singh while Anshika won in the girls category, Tafiya Anjum won for best use of library, Sudipta Das was adjudged best creative student while Utrayan Mukherkee bagged the award for best performer of school.
Best teacher mentor award was won by Momita Sarkar and Shourya Shekhar. At the event several parents were also felicitated. Earlier in the day, the event was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Ramesh Varke, Vice-President of Lafarge Jojobera Cement Plant.
On the occasion he wished students luck for their future endeavors. Principal Ashu Tiwari presented the annual report were students presented colourful cultural program. Rich tributes were also paid to Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya, Mahatma Gandhi and Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
The school management also handed over a cheque of Rs 25,000 to the President of Nepali Seva Samiti as a help for the Nepal Earthquake victims.
Present at the event were Chairman of School Management Committee RP Tyagi, Secretary Dr DP Shukl, teachers and students. Vice-Principal extended the vote of thanks.
