Jamshedpur: The national assistant convenor of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha Study Circle, Priya Sharma, was accorded a warm welcome on her visit to the city on Friday. District BJYM leaders organized a function to welcome her at the party headquarters in Sakchi.
Priya spoke to the MP of Jamshedpur Bidyut Baran Mahato and district BJP president Dinesh Kumar. She informed party workers about the activities of BJYM Study Circle. She said India is a country of youths. �More than 60 per cent of the country�s population is of youths.
The purpose of Study Circle is to create awareness among the people all over the country. We organize programmes in schools and colleges and make the young generation conscious of their duties towards the nation to ensure they play their due role in nation building,� she said.
District BJYM president Amarjeet Singh Raja said very soon Study Circle would be opened in the city. He said the party workers would visit schools and colleges and hold events for awareness among the students.
Currently employed as an Assistant Professor in Delhi University, Priya Sharma hails from Ghatsila. She has completed her schooling from Loyola School. She began her career in politics after completing her higher studies in Jawaharlal Nehru University. She is the assistant convenor of Study Circle in the team of national president Poonam Mahajan.
Among others present on the occasion included state general secretary Gunjan Yadav, assistant in-charge of Jharkhand State Study Circle Abhimanyu Singh, Ashutosh Das, Shweta Kumari, Kumaresh Upadhyaya, Shashi Yadav, Ranjeet Pandey, Sharad Suman Singh and Anmol Verma.
