Jamshedpur, Sept 11: Current SCCI President, Vijay Anand Moonka said that connecting Jamshedpur to direct air routes, providing DVC and JBVNL electricity at cheaper rates in Kolhan, initiating registration in the Tata Steel command area and attracting maximum investments in Kolhan will be priorities. Responding to a query, Moonka stated, “We regret that the Dhalbhumgarh Airport project has yet to take off. However, our constant efforts to iron out several rail related issues have met with success for the benefit of traders. We have also beautified the Chamber Bhawan and it was the first time that SCCI was represented in the Land Allotment Committee in Jamshedpur.”

Present young generation growth and other opportunities in absence of air connectivity at Jamshedpur with other international airports has become zero. No body is interested to invest due to monopoly of Tatata Zamindari. Business community Adityapur Industrial belt has to pay enhanced power charges and compromise as there is no option. We do not have a good Inter state bus stand at Sanchi. There is only one bridge connecting Railway station from Mango. 70% of town deposits in banks you will find in Mango due to Gulf migrated muslim population. In Mango there is no city bus services. No footpath roads for pedestrian. No health care center to get periodical check ups for pregnant women. Terrible encroachment on service roads.
