Saraikela, Nov 5: At a meeting presided by Saraikela-Kharsawan District election officer-cum- Deputy Commissioner A Dodde at the district collectorate�s Jharnet auditorium, representatives of all political parties were directed to inform the administration 48 hours prior to holding of rallies, meetings and canvassing for votes during the forthcoming Assembly elections � 2019.
The political party representatives were told not to display any banner or posters in public places. They were to take permission prior to organizing election rallies or meetings. They were asked not to use extra large flags on vehicles for campaigning purposes.
DC A Dodde directed the representatives of political parties to provide a list of the number of vehicles to be used for campaign related purposes and get permission thereof. The representatives were trained in the use of EVMs and VVPAT machines.
Apart from the district election officer-cum-DC Saraikela-Kharsawan A Dodde other administrative officials who attended the meeting included DDC Subodh Kumar, ADC Sanjay Kumar, SDO Basharat Qayum, District PRO and other senior officials of various cells.
