Baharagora, July 10: A delegation led by President Putul Singh of the Press Club of Jamshedpur arrived in Baharagora today to address the assault on journalist Basudev Karan. The delegation met with the victim journalist to gather details about the incident before proceeding to meet with the police station in-charge of Baharagora. They urged immediate action against those responsible for the assault.
During the meeting, the delegation expressed firm concern to the police administration, warning that if swift action is not taken against the culprits, the Press Club of Jamshedpur would initiate phased protests. The delegation included a significant number of journalists, including Rajesh Kumar from Dainik Bhaskar’s Ghatsila office, Mantosh Mandal, Rajesh Choubey, and Pankaj Mishra.
