Jharkhand Minister Irfan Ansari urges officials to expedite well construction

Ranchi, July 10: Rural Development, Rural Works, and Panchayati Raj Minister Irfan Ansari convened a high-level meeting with departmental officials today, issuing directives for the construction of 1 lakh wells by November. Emphasizing the timely completion of government schemes, Minister Ansari highlighted the crucial role of officials in accelerating developmental initiatives. He stressed that the benefits of these schemes must promptly reach every segment of society, as per the Chief Minister’s directive.

During the review of the Abua Housing Scheme, Minister Ansari highlighted the scheme’s focus on assisting impoverished and needy beneficiaries. He urged officials to take proactive measures to provide construction materials such as sand at minimal rates for housing projects. Ansari sought updates on the progress of housing construction following the approval and disbursement of funds for 2 lakh houses in the scheme’s initial phase, instructing officials to expedite these efforts.

Ensuring transparency in the selection process of scheme beneficiaries was another directive from Minister Ansari. Under the Birsa Harit Gram Yojana, which promotes tree planting, he emphasized the need for comprehensive arrangements for tree maintenance and conservation alongside plantation activities.
