Administration Strengthens Security and Traffic Arrangements
Ranchi, Oct 13: The district administration has stepped up preparations for the upcoming One-Day International (ODI) match between India and South Africa, scheduled to be held on November 30 at the Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) Stadium in Dhurwa, Ranchi. An important review meeting regarding the arrangements was held on Sunday under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Manjunath Bhajantri.
The meeting was attended by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Rakesh Ranjan, Superintendent of Police Paras Rana, Superintendent of Police (Traffic), Sadar Sub-Divisional Officer, JSCA President Ajay Nath Shah Deo, and Secretary Saurabh Tiwary, among other senior officials.
DC Bhajantri emphasized that maintaining law and order, ensuring security, and managing traffic efficiently should be the top priorities, given the large crowd expected for the match. He instructed the preparation of a detailed plan covering the deployment of magistrates and police personnel, parking facilities, entry and exit arrangements, medical assistance, and emergency response measures.

He said that the goal is to ensure a smooth, safe, and enjoyable experience for cricket fans while reinforcing Ranchi’s reputation as a capable and welcoming host city. The Deputy Commissioner assured full administrative support to the JSCA for successful conduct of the event.
JSCA President Ajay Nath Shah Deo expressed gratitude to the district administration and said that preparations are progressing on all fronts, including technical aspects and spectator facilities. Secretary Saurabh Tiwary shared updates on stadium arrangements and requirements.
The meeting also decided to appoint nodal officers and create a coordination mechanism among departments. Site inspections and mock drills will be conducted soon to ensure readiness ahead of the much-awaited match.
