Premier Division: Classic Eight stage comeback to beat Jharkhand Sporting Club 4-2

Jamshedpur, July 13: A spirited comeback was produced by Classic Eight as Jharkhand Sporting Club was defeated 4-2 in a JSA Premier Division match played at the JRD Tata Sports Complex on Monday.

An early lead was taken by Jharkhand Sporting Club when Rajesh Tudu scored in the 11th minute. The scores were levelled in the 35th minute through Rakesh Gope. Another goal was added by Rajesh Tudu in the 39th minute to restore Jharkhand Sporting Club’s lead. However, parity was restored once again before halftime as Rakesh Gope scored his second goal.

Complete control was taken by Classic Eight after the break. A goal was scored by Deepak Soren in the 46th minute, while the lead was extended by Bishnath Murmu in the 53rd minute to complete a convincing 4-2 victory.

Super Division: Manbhum FC crush Jungle Tiger Football Academy 8-1

A dominant performance was delivered by Manbhum FC as Jungle Tiger Football Academy was thrashed 8-1 in the JSA Super Division League match at Gopal Maidan.

Hat-tricks were scored by Guru Pada Hembrom and Salkhan Murmu. Guru Pada found the net in the sixth, 80th and 84th minutes, while Salkhan scored in the 26th, 61st and 82nd minutes. Additional goals were added by Budheshwar Singh Munda in the 29th minute and Deepak Besra in the 49th minute. The only goal for Jungle Tiger Football Academy was scored by Sujal Sardar in the 90th minute.

A Division: Sidhu Kanhu teams register victories

In the A Division Group A match at Telco Ground, a 2-1 victory was recorded by Sidhu Kanhu Festival Association over Vision Apex FC. The opening goal was scored by Akash Murmu in the 24th minute before the scores were levelled by Babu Hembram in the 49th minute. The winning goal was scored by Rakesh Murmu in the 58th minute.

In the Group B fixture at Armoury Ground, a 2-1 win was secured by Sidhu Kanu Memorial Club against Adivasi Ritui Gondoi Club. Two goals were scored by Bablu Mardi in the third minute and first-half stoppage time. A consolation goal was scored by Dev Mukhi in the 70th minute, but the lead was successfully defended until the final whistle.
