Jamshedpur, Nov 9: Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy Tuesday said the news regarding Anti Corruption Bureau seeking Vigilance Department permission for a preliminary enquiry (PE) against him were just rumours. He further alleged that the rumours were being spread by the agent of Prem Prakash, a former clerk of vigilance department.
“Prem Prakash is a corrupt man who made hay during the tenure of former CM Raghubar Das and the current CM Hemant Soren. His agent is spreading these rumours against me,” said Roy.
In a press statement issued today, Roy said the allegations were being made against him by ‘elements’ who faced defeat in the last Assembly elections held in Jamshedpur. Kumar has only submitted copies of government files in the complaint to ACB, he said.
“People who live in glass houses should not throw stones at others. They are spreading rumours among the people. But the people and media should not be misled. Instead they should expose such conspirators,” said Roy.
