Jamshedpur: A two-day Pre-Durga Puja fair and handicraft exhibition is being held at Telco Sabuj Kalyan Sangh on August 17th and 18th. Organized by the women’s group Samriddhi, the event aims to support poor children and the elderly at local old age homes.
Samriddhi organizers Sharmishtha Nag, Sandeepa Dutta, Ratna Patra, and Dolon Sengupta highlighted that the fair is also designed to foster entrepreneurship among women. The exhibition will feature a variety of items including attractive rakhis, sarees, kurtis, handmade and customized jewelry, leather bags, and home decor. Visitors can explore handloom and handicraft products from Jamshedpur and Kolkata, all crafted by local women.
