Jamshedpur, Aug. 11: The �Annual Prize Night� of the Primary Block of Jamshedpur Public School (JPS) was held on 11th August.
Jolly Bhaskaran graced the occasion as Chief Guest and Srimanti Sen was the Guest of Honour. The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest in presence of School Secretary Sreeparna Ghosh, School Treasurer Varsha Gandhi and the Principal Namita Agarwal.
The students from Nursery to Std. VI were recognized for their achievement in academics and other activities.
Special commendation was given to the first generation learners for their achievement in academics. In Nursery A Sumit Das, Nursery C Arya Kumar Singh, KG A – Priya Mahato, Class II A- Kunal Mahato, II A- Priya Dutta, II D -b Yash Raj Kashyap and in class IV B – Rukmini Munda was awarded.
The most awaited award of the evening � the Special trophies were awarded to in four different categories.
Leadership Award went to Nirjala of class IV A, Most Talent student award was bagged by Harshita of IV C, Outstanding Analytical Temperament award went to Subinay Kuila of class IV A while the
Best all rounder student of primary block was Praneta of class IV A.
The award ceremony was followed by a dance �Rhythm Express� where the students showcased their rhythmic beats to commemorate the International Year of travel and tourism.
There was special mention of the singing talent of �little Champ� Swechchha Sahu of KG, who had participated in �Rising Star� and has been selected for �Phir bhi dil hai Hindustani� (Star Plus Channel).
The Chief Guest praised the students for excelling in academics and other activities and motivated them to win laurels and to keep the flag of JPS flying high. The programme ended with the School Song.
