Prabhat pheri held on I-Day eve in Seraikela

Seraikela: A prabhat pheri (morning procession) was taken out by school children on the eve of the 72nd Independence Day in Seraikela. The procession moved from Seraikela Chowk to Birsa Munda stadium. The participants raised patriotic slogans throughout the procession.
Addressing the gathering, Additional Deputy Commissioner Kunj Bihari Pandey said children are the future of the country. He said the young generation should maintain its patriotic sentiments and achieve higher goals in life. He said the teachers play a vital role in shaping the future of the country.
Many schools of the district participated in the programme. Innovative floats were taken out on the occasion. The floats of St Francis School and Saraswati Shishu Mandir, Seraikela, were adjudged top floats.
