Jamshedpur, Dec. 5: K Prabhakar Rao, honorary secretary of Jharkhand Badminton Association, has been nominated an observer for Tata Open Indian International Challenge 2015 to be held at Mumbai.
Badminton Association of India (BAI) nominated Rao for the championship to be held from December 9 to 13, 2015.
Rao becomes the first secretary to represent Jharkhand as an observer at the international tournament organized by Tata Capital where top international players will participate.
Earlier, Rao was nominated the team manager and observer by BAI. He was also the manager of Indian badminton team for Yonex Sunrise Malaysia Masters Grand Prix Gold 2015, which was held at Kaula Lumpur from January 13 to 18 this year.
