Prabhakar Rao appointed chairman of para badminton India

Jamshedpur, April 12: Badminton Association of India (BAI) has appointed K Prabhakar Rao, Secretary of Jharkhand Badminton Association (JBA) as Chairman of Para- Badminton India.

 In a letter dated 4th April last, BAI President Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma has made the announcement appointing K Prabhakar Rao, who is also the Joint Secretary of BAI, as the Chairman of Para Badminton India.

Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma also directed that henceforth, all the correspondence and Co-ordination with Government of India, Ministry of Youth Affair and Sports, Sports Authority of India and Paralympic Committee of India will be done by K Prabhakar Rao.

Earlier, BAI had nominated Rao as Indian Badminton team Manager and Observer in several national and International Badminton Championships.  Rao was also made Observer by the BAI during the recently concluded Indian Badminton Premier League.in Korea open Rao was made team manager by BAI where P.V.Sindhu won god medal .

 Jharkhand badminton association and East Singhbhum Badminton Association (ESBA) felicitated K Prabhakar Rao at Mohan Ahuja Badminton Stadium on 11th April where chief patron of ESBA Abhay Singh, Secretary of ESBA Ranjay Kumar Ray, JBA treasurer Ravi Shekhar Singh, Sachin Kumar Rana, secretary of Saraikela district badminton association and all member of East Singhbhum badminton association were present.
