Potka Pramukh complains against school merger

Jamshedpur: Potka Pramukh Sukurmuni Tudu on Thursday alleged that the district education department officials had failed to merge schools having a low turnout of students. She said the department officials had instead merged those schools that had a good number of regular students.

She alleged that only 10 kids come to Upgraded Middle School in Bardagora and that the school was being run by a couple. On the other hand, the school in Chirugora was merged with the school in Matku panchayat. As a result, 58 children of Chirugora were enrolled in Matku school, said Tudu.
Tudu demanded a departmental inquiry into the allegations and strict action against the guilty officials of education department.
