Potka Mukhiyas to meet DC over solar scam

Potka: The Mukhiyas of Potka block would soon meet the deputy commissioner (DC) of East Singhbhum Amit Kumar to demand a probe into the solar light scam pertaining to Potka. They said holding the Mukhiyas of Potka responsible for the scam was not justified. They said the solar lights were purchased as per the norms set by the government. They said no rate was prescribed for the purchase of the solar lights in the government guidelines issued for the purpose. Members of the Mukhiya Sangh, Potka, would meet the DC on 20th November. They would also meet the state rural development minister and the Panchayati Raj minister. A meeting of Mukhiyas was held in this connection at the Potka block auditorium on Saturday. It was chaired by Ganesh Sardar. Others present at the meeting included Chandmani Mahali, Sabitri Sardar, Pano Sardar, Sabitri Hansda, Pano Baskey, Madav Hembram, Sanjay Sardar, Lakhicharan Singh, Suchitra Sardar, Rukmini Murmu and Sunil Munda.
