Potka MLA Sanjib Sardar Launches Power Grid in Remote Dumaria Villages

Jamshedpur: Potka MLA Sanjib Sardar performed a ritual prayer ceremony to lay the foundation stone for electrification work at Banagoda in Khairbani village (Dumaria block) and Rahadgoda Tola in Bakrakocha village (Palashbani panchayat). Under the Chief Minister Ujjwal Jharkhand Yojana (MUJY), the Jharkhand government is bringing electricity to remote rural and tribal areas for the very first time.

This initiative provides free electrification by installing poles, wires, and transformers in hundreds of hamlets and new neighbourhoods across the state. During the ceremony, villagers extended a traditional welcome to the MLA, playing musical instruments and drums.

During the foundation-stone laying event, MLA Sanjib Sardar met with locals, heard their grievances, and assured them of swift resolutions. He promised that the administration would not leave any village in the region deprived of growth, stressing that roads, power, water, and basic infrastructure remain the government’s topmost priorities.

“Under Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s leadership, the state government is consistently working to uplift rural and tribal areas. The light of development will now reach villages that faced decades of neglect, transforming lives,” Sardar said. He added that even though many villages lacked basic amenities like electricity decades after Independence, the Jharkhand government is fixing this.
