Jamshedpur, March 22: Nisha Kumari, the 14 year old housemaid working since childhood in Potka Circle Officer (CO) Imteyaz Ahmad’s residence was found dead under mysterious circumstances at his rented residence in Sundernagar. The CO and his wife took Nisha to Tata Main Hospital where doctors pronounced her dead.
Potka CO Imteyaz Ahmad said that he and his wife had gone out locking the door from outside. He said that upon their return they discovered Nisha lying on the bathroom floor. “We rushed her to the hospital where she was declared dead.”
A mark was found around the neck of the housemaid that indicated that she hanged herself. Imteyaz Ahmad has refused to speak on the matter. According to information, Nisha hailed from Kurkutta village under Maranghada police station in Khunti district. She had been employed in the CO’s house since childhood. Imteyaz Ahmad is a tenant of Sardar Ravindra Singh. The house is near the Ram Mandir under Sundernagar police station. Nisha’s relatives have been informed of the incident.
