Seraikela : Concerned over an overwhelming number of vehicles using stickers of Press or Police, the district police has decided to launch a drive for scanning the fake ones.
From now onward the police will demand Identity Card from those who drive the vehicle with the stickers of Press or Police, and who fail to produce the� genuine identify, he or she would prosecuted.
The police have discovered that many anti-social elements and even criminals are evading the routine drive for arms or helmet checking by using the Press or Police stickers.
“We have come to know that several vehicle owners are hoodwinking the police by using Press or police stickers.�
As the cops who are engaged in� carrying out the arms-checking do not want indulge in unnecessary argument with the people having Press or Police tag on their vehicle, this has become a trick for the anti-socials to evade the police action in the guise of such stickers.�
But we will not allow any fake person to escape with the� stickers as mentioned above,” said a police official.
