Police nab trader for buying stolen articles

Jamshedpur: Kadma Police have solved several cases of theft by apprehending a trader Shiv Prakash Prasad of Begbera on charges of buying stolen articles.

The police have also arrested six thieves in this connection. SSP Amol V Homekar said that the police had arrested burglars Trinath Kumar alias Rakesh Kumar, Raja Bahadur, Bharat Kumar Yadav alias Kallu, Sumit Das, Neeraj Sharma, Tuna Mukhi and the trader Shiv Prakash Prasad.

After the arrests the police recovered two laptops, three digital cameras, one cooler, two gold chains, one ear top, four wristwatches, two silver-made coins, two gold made rings, nine mobile phones, Buffer, silver anklets, 200 gram of silver ornaments, clothes and shoes from the possession of the accused. Cases have been lodged with the Kadma PS in this regard, he said.

The SSP said that the all accused were habitual offenders and were involved in cases of theft earlier on. He said that several teams have been constituted to rein in the rising incidents of theft in the city.

Inspector, Kadma PS, Madan Mohan Singh, OC of Kadma PS, Rakesh Prakash Sinha and Daroga Hanse Oraon and other police personnel comprised the team that cracked the cases.
