Ranchi: In a successful operation, the Chanho police station in Ranchi district, Jharkhand, has arrested two coal smugglers and secured their imprisonment. The individuals, identified as Faiz Khan and Arbaaz Khan, were apprehended while attempting to smuggle coal in a Maruti van.
The police, during their investigation, requested documents from the suspects. However, when Faiz Khan and Arbaaz Khan failed to produce any valid documents, the authorities took decisive action, resulting in their arrest and subsequent imprisonment. Additionally, the Maruti van used for the illegal activity was confiscated.
The seizure involved 42 sacks of coal from the Maruti van, underscoring the scale of the smuggling operation. The suspects, unable to provide the necessary documentation, now face legal consequences for their involvement in the illicit coal trade.
The Chanho police, as part of their Friday morning patrol, discovered the illegal coal-laden Maruti van bearing registration JH 02 B-7691.
