Police hunt for sharp-shooter Lulla

Suspected to be involved in different cases

: Police are hunting for the sharpshooter Maya Bhagat alias Munna Shaw alias Lulla, who is reported to have taking refuge somewhere at Kolkata.

Lulla who is the key accused in the sensational Mango double murder case, is also believed to be behind shooting at Vipul Kumar, a Tata Steel official at Bistupur in November last year .

Senior superintendent of police, Amol V Homkar said that Lulla’s cell-phone has indicated that he was present at Bistupur at the time when Vipul was attacked near United Club in Bistupur on November 23.

Sources further informed that during the investigation it has come to light that the Lulla gang has involved in the entire major firing incident that has taken place during the past
six months.

Starting from the loot and murder of transport employee, Pappu Yadav, at Chepapul in Mango, loot of Rs 2.5 lakh near Tatanagar Railway station under Bagbera police station, shooting of grocery shop owner Amit Agrawal in Golmuri, firing at truck driver Satpal Singh in Burmamines and double murder case in Olidih in Mango.

According to sources, the police have sent a team to outside the city for detecting one of the
shooters.

Once the police succeed in arresting a suspected shooter, the cases will be completely solved.

Forty-year-old Kumar was shot at and injured by two unidentified gunmen near the United Club in the posh Northern Town area in Bistupur on November 23.

The victim who is a member of the United Club was about to board his car parked outside the club as the attack had taken place.

A resident of Sonari, Kumar was attacked by two bikeborne criminals.
