Jamshedpur: Police have successfully solved the firing incident that took place on the night of November 20 at Tata Highway Hotel near Asanbani on NH-33 under Chandil police station area.
Acting on the directives of the Superintendent of Police, a special investigation team tracked down and arrested three suspects using technical evidence, CCTV footage, and human intelligence inputs.
The apprehended accused have been identified as Mohammad Shahbaz Alam (20), Mohammad Shahid Raza (19), and Mohammad Faizan Alam alias Mattha (20).
All three are residents of Mango and Azadnagar localities of Jamshedpur.
Police officials confirmed that other individuals involved in the case have also been identified, and raids are underway to nab them.
The arrested suspects have reportedly admitted their involvement during preliminary questioning.
However, the exact motive behind the firing and the dispute leading up to the incident are still under investigation.
In a move to ensure public safety, police patrolling has been intensified on the highway and in the hotel vicinity to prevent further incidents.
Authorities stated that technical evidence played a crucial role in tracing the accused.
Their mobile locations, call detail records, and surveillance footage helped the police narrow down and arrest the trio from different locations.
Police affirmed that remaining accused will be arrested soon and legal proceedings will move forward swiftly.
