Police busts mini gun factory in Chakradharpur, Para teacher arrested

Jamshedpur, June 5: Police on Monday busted a gun factory situated in the mountainous area of Karu Village under Tebo Police Station area in Chakradharpur Subdivision. �

West Singhbhum�SP�Michael Raj, said, the matter was disclosed by a Para teacher who was arrested from the region. He had kept the arms and ammunition in a water tank.

Addressing a press conference, SP said, during the raid police recovered 6 DBBL gun, two guns of single barrel, two hundred live cartridge of .315 mm, 29 kg white explosive powder, 40 piece electronic detonator, 100 pieces of non-electronic detonator, one piece hand powder, one drill machine, a camera, flash, a Nokia mobile, 22 mobile charger and 19 M-Seal packets.

SP Michael Raj further said, four DBBL guns, 8 live bullets of .315 mm, 34 kg of yellow explosive powder and 34 piece electronic detonators were recovered from the possession of Patel Hembram alias Hura.

Also present at the press meet was ASP Manish Ranjan, DSP Ajay Karketta, trainee IPS Piyush Pandey, CRPF deputy commandant Krishna Singh Dugtal, Dinesh Singh, Goutam Kumar along with Bandgaon Police Station in-charge Satveer Singh, Karaikela Police Station in-charge Bigga Tirkey, Circle Inspector SN Singh, Tebo Police Station in-charge Rajesndra Munda along with other police officers.
