Police arrests usurer over illegal withdrawal from pensioners account

Jamshedpur, March 20: After getting several complains about local usurers withdrawing money from the bank accounts of Railway employees by taking advantage of their compulsion.

SP ordered Seraikela Police Station in-charge to inquire about the case and visit the banks in Sini and submit a report at the earliest.

In the meantime a same case about the retired railway employee came into light were Bhuvneshwar Mahato, resident of Sinma Village went to the bank for collecting money but found that all his cash was withdrawn by usurer BN Singh.

After hearing this Mahato was not able to recover from this shock and died of Brain Hemorrhage on March 16.

Later all the villagers and residents of Sini moved to Sini OP and demanded strict action against the accused.

A case against BN Singh and nine others was registered on the statement of brother of the deceased at Seraikela Police Station on March 19.

A police team raided accused BN Singh’s house and arrested him. Police also recovered a mobile phone, three ATM cards, 28 check books, 1 pension pass book and 58 saving account passbook.
