Jamshedpur, May 20: The police administration is on alert in Chandil Sub-divisional area following the incident in Mango on Saturday morning.
CO Sunil Kumar appealed the citizens not to follow rumours, help maintain peace and keep an eye on the anti-social elements and informed about the same to the police.
The administration has also launched awareness drive to inform the villagers not to pay heed to child lifting rumours.
A meeting was also held in Kapali Police Station were intellectuals and villagers attended. The villagers were told not take law in their hands.
According to reports, the law and order situation is under control in Kapali.
