Pneumonia test for kids in Jamshedpur 

Jamshedpur, December 4: Pneumonia test is being conducted for children below five years of age.

The East Singhbhum health department is investigating pneumonia, a disease that occurs in children during the cold season. In this campaign, which will run till 29 February 2024, children below five years of age will be examined in all the blocks of the district.

Civil Surgeon Dr. Jujhar Manjhi said that Sahiya, ANM and CHO have been deployed for this work. Children are being screened in this. Pneumonia patients are treated in community health centers or sadar hospitals.

Three to four children are coming to MGM hospital every day suffering from pneumonia. Pediatrician Dr. KK Chaudhary told that pneumonia should be taken seriously. If proper treatment is not given, the child may even die from pneumonia. In changing weather, pneumonia spreads due to viruses, bacteria and pollution. In this season the immune system of new-borns becomes weak. Therefore children should be protected from cold. To avoid pneumonia, the new-born must be vaccinated at the right time.
