PM Modi to address election rally in Jharkhand’s Ghatshila on May 19

Jamshedpur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to address an election rally at Ghatshila in East Singhbhum district on May 19, Sunday, in support of Bidyut Baran Mahato, the BJP candidate from the Jamshedpur Lok Sabha seat.

The prestigious Jamshedpur Lok Sabha seat is scheduled for elections on May 25, marking the Prime Minister’s first rally in the constituency.

Preparations are underway with heightened security measures for the Prime Minister’s rally. Senior administrative officials, including Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum, Ananya Mittal, and Senior Superintendent of Police, Kishore Kaushal, conducted a thorough review of security arrangements at the Moubhandar Football Ground, the venue of the rally, on Monday.

Inspecting the venue and the helipad site designated for the PM’s chopper landing, the officials ensured meticulous planning for the event. A meeting was also convened with district administration officials, representatives of Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL), which owns the football ground, and BJP leaders to coordinate arrangements effectively.

Further, district administrative officials are scheduled to revisit the rally venue today to oversee the finalization of security measures, underscoring the commitment to ensuring a smooth and secure environment for the Prime Minister’s address.
