Ranchi/Jamshedpur, Feb 26: Prime Minister Modi initiated the online redevelopment of 27 railway stations in Jharkhand on Monday, as part of the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. The stations included Chaibasa, Dongaposi, Barajamda, Tatanagar, and others, with an estimated investment of around Rs 600 crore. The event, broadcasted live from Delhi, witnessed special arrangements at Namkum station for viewing.

Among those present on the occasion included Ranchi Division’s DRM, Ranchi MP Sanjay Seth, Minister Deepak Birua, and Rajya Sabha MP Mahua Majhi. Additionally, Tatanagar station, under the Chakradharpur Railway Division, is set to be upgraded to world-class standards with an allocated budget of Rs 350 crore. The program saw the presence of Governor CP Radhakrishnan, GM of South Eastern Railway AK Mishra, and other dignitaries. A total of Rs 580 crore will be spent to redevelop 11 stations in the Chakradharpur Railway Division, along with the construction of 40 FOBs and underpasses.
